Pleural mesothelioma
This can be a type of cancer that starts off in the membrane that covers the lungs. Even though it develops in the chest and involves the lining of the lung area, it is not a lung cancer and it is treated differently to lung cancer.
Pleural mesothelioma cancer is the most frequent kind of mesothelioma cancer, and accounts for about 90% of all mesotheliomas.

Indications of pleural mesothelioma cancer
The main indications of pleural mesothelioma include:

Early on signs of pleural mesothelioma cancer are similar to other conditions and diseases, however, if you believe you have recently been exposed to asbestos, speak to your doctor.

Peritoneal mesothelioma cancer
The other main type is peritoneal mesothelioma, accounting for about 10% of cases. That develops in the lining of the abdomen.

Less commonly, mesothelioma commences in the membrane around the cardiovascular system or the reproductive internal organs. Growths form which little by little grow and spread to surrounding areas. Rarely, a person may develop mesothelioma cancer much more than one place.
